For the first 10 days of our 40 Days of Compassion campaign (March 1 – March 10), we are helping the women who are incarcerated at Julia Tutwiler Prison in Wetumpka, Alabama. Did you know that the Alabama DOC does not supply prisoners with an adequate supply of menstrual products? All too often they are forced to re-use items or horrifically, go without. Our contact at the prison says the need is greatest for thick maxi pads. All kinds/types/brands of products are allowed EXCEPT for menstrual cups, and any donated items must be factory sealed and unopened. Join the Facebook event for this part of the campaign here.
